Martin Edlund is Malaria No More's "boot on the ground" in Dakar, Senegal where he is working with MNM Board Member Youssou N'Dour to get everyone sleeping under bed nets and seeking timely treatment for malaria. In addition to picking up un petit peu de French and a taste for Senegalese cooking (Thiof!), Martin learned firsthand the anxiety every expectant father in a malaria endemic country feels when his wife (MNM Dir. Of Research, Jennifer Duhamel) got pregnant. Needless to say, Martin and Jenn have been practicing what they preach about nightly net use (and liberal use of mosquito repellent). Prior to joining MNM (way back in 2006), Martin was a journalist and political professional in New York and Washington DC.
