Roll Back Malaria Support
In 2008, Malaria No More supported the Roll Back Malaria Global Advocacy project, which conducts on-going work to make the case for change in fighting malaria to reduce the burden and suffering caused by the disease. This advocacy work includes increasing malaria prevention, treatment and operational support, as well as increasing research and development for malaria prevention, and advocating for mainstream inclusion of malaria control into health and development programs.
Mosquito Net Scale-up Trainings for National Malaria Control Staff
To meet this need, Malaria No More partnered with the Alliance for Malaria Prevention and MACEPA to help equip the National Malaria Control Programs of 32 countries with the knowledge and tools to plan and execute mass net campaigns.
Global Fund Application Assistance to Countries
In 2007, 2008 and 2009 Malaria No More has partnered with the RBM Harmonization Working Group to support expert technical assistance to help countries maximize their malaria control grants from the world’s largest funder of malaria control: the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.
Needs Assessments: Know Your Enemy
Before you can solve a problem you have to define it. Malaria No More and partners funded teams to go into each country and determine the actual need for mosquito nets, medicine, spraying and health infrastructure so that the global community can target resources effectively.
