Malaria Capital Campaign

The Malaria Capital Campaign will launch in fall 2008 under the leadership of some of the world's most prominent business leaders to raise $100 million from corporations and other donors for the fight against malaria in Africa. The Campaign will fund a portfolio of integrated initiatives that will catalyze achievement of universal access to critical malaria interventions by the end of 2010. In particular, the campaign will focus on measurable investments that will save lives through highly leveraged partnerships with the public sector. With a relatively small amount of funding—just 1% of the total public sector funding needed for malaria in Africa over the next three years—these efforts will provide unprecedented value added to ensure that public funding for malaria is used effectively to prevent illness and save lives.
