Malaria No More Names Scott Case Chief Executive Officer

Entrepreneur to Lead Effort to End Malaria Deaths

New York, NEW YORK - Malaria No More, an organization working to raise awareness and galvanize support to address the global fight against malaria, announced today it has appointed Scott Case to the post of Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Mr. Case, who played a central role in the launch of Malaria No More in December 2006, has served as interim CEO since April 2008.

"Scott has the drive, discipline, management skill and, most importantly, the creativity to help us realize our aggressive but entirely attainable goal of ending malaria deaths," said Malaria No More Chairman Peter Chernin. "This organization is deeply committed to influencing new, bold thinking and driving real change and Scott is completely motivated by the desire to achieve impact. He is the absolute ideal candidate to lead an outfit as ambitious and entrepreneurial as this one."

Under the stewardship of Mr. Case, Malaria No More has achieved several major milestones in the past six months:

• MNM worked with Prime Minister Gordon Brown and President Bush to secure a pledge for 100 million mosquito nets by December 31, 2010 at the July G8 meeting.

• MNM raised $10 million for mosquito nets and educated 40 million Americans about the disease through the second installment of American Idol Gives Back.

• MNM worked with McKinsey and the Global Fund to add a second round of funding (Round 9) in 2008, which will mean hundreds of millions of dollars in additional funding for malaria by 2010.

• MNM recently secured a high profile, global marketing and fundraising partnership with FC Barcelona and American Youth Soccer Organization.

Scott Case is a well-respected businessman, technologist, inventor, and social entrepreneur. Prior to joining Malaria No More he was a founding partner of Priceline.com, the "Name Your Own Price" Internet service. At the Walker Digital Invention Laboratory, Mr. Case helped build a portfolio of intellectual property, and is a named inventor on dozens of U.S. patents including the underlying technology for Priceline.com.

Mr. Case currently serves as the Chairman of Network for Good, a company that empowers philanthropy through the Internet. The organization has raised more than $175 million in online donations for more than 30,000 non-profit organizations.
