Angola, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria 2009 Distribution
UNICEF reached out to Malaria No More to fund the distribution of mosquito nets in Angola, the DRC and Nigeria.

Our partner UNICEF secured 20 million long lasting insecticide treated nets with support from UNITAID, a fund based on an international air-ticket levy implemented in France that funds only commodities (and not the costs of distribution). UNICEF reached out to Malaria No More to fund the distribution of a portion of these mosquito nets in Angola, the DRC and Nigeria. To kick off this partnership, UNICEF is expected to distribute 91,335 nets in Angola, 361,010 nets in DRC and 252,707 nets in Nigeria during the Summer and Fall of 2009.

The U.S. Fund for UNICEF is building on this investment and appealing to its supporters for a 100% match of the Malaria No More contribution to speed the delivery of a million more life-saving nets to the families who need them.
