Each year, the Malaria Policy Center holds its signature Breakfast of Champions event to recognize those outstanding leaders who have strongly supported efforts against malaria.  Two awards are given to both policymakers and implementers alike.  The Vision Award is given to a leader who serves as a strong voice for effective malaria policies.  The Action Award is presented to a leader that translates policy into action and results.

Past winners include Senator Russ Feingold of Wisconsin, Congressman Donald Payne of New Jersey, Congressman John Boozman of Arkansas, U.S. Global Malaria Coordinator Admiral Timothy Ziemer, the U.N. Special Envoy for Malaria Mr. Ray Chambers and the Special Advisor on Health Policy to the Director of the White House Office of Management and Budget, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel.
