Tanzania

Tanzania’s leadership is aggressively working towards being one of the first sub-Saharan African countries to provide malaria prevention and treatment to all its citizens. Malaria No More is assisting leaders in this landmark effort by providing comprehensive support through its signature programs – the Zinduka! campaign, technical assistance, LLIN distributions, global advocacy – that attack malaria on multiple fronts and helps Tanzania reach the 2015 goal of malaria death elimination.

Zinduka! Malaria Haikubaliki ("Wake up! Malaria in Unacceptable!" in Swahili) is a ground-breaking initiative to bring vital malaria messaging to families across Tanzania in new and innovative ways. Zinduka! works with partners in the media, entertainment industry, government and private sector to create a culture of net usage, fever testing and appropriate treatment.
In 2008 and 2009, Tanzania is implementing a national campaign to cover every child under 5 with a long lasting insecticide treated net.
