December 02nd, 2011 There’s a darkness in the world that intrudes upon the lives of around 225 million people annually. It is notorious for being one of the top killers of children in Africa and is accountable for snatching away the life of one child every 45 seconds. This darkness is known as malaria.

For example, the tradition of passing the Olympic torch originated from a Greek myth in which Prometheus steals fire from the Greek god Zeus to give to mortals. Likewise, malaria, a disease that snuffs out the life of one child every minute, was said to have originated from bad air around swamps.
