Tony Vinciquerra

Tony Vinciquerra is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Fox Networks Group (an operating unit of News Corporation  NASDAQ:NWS) where he supervises all aspects of the top-rated Fox Broadcasting Company, including program development, marketing, finance, advertising sales, affiliate relations, administration, and human resources. He also manages the business activities of FOX Sports Media Group, technological support entity Fox Networks Engineering & Operations, oversees Fox Cable Networks’ expanding portfolio of national and regional programming services, as well as the growing Fox International Channels.

Mr. Vinciquerra joined Fox in December 2001 as President of the Fox Television Network.  He was named President and Chief Executive Officer of Fox Networks Group in June 2002 and Chairman in September 2008.  Prior to joining Fox, he was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Hearst-Argyle Television, a position he had held since 1999.

He first joined the Hearst Corporation’s broadcasting group as Group Executive in June 1997 and became Executive Vice President of Hearst-Argyle when the company went public in August 1997.

Previously, Mr. Vinciquerra was Executive Vice President of CBS’s television station group from November 1995 to June 1997. From January 1993 to November 1995, he served as Vice President and General Manager of KYW-TV in Philadelphia, and from July 1986 to January 1993, as General Sales Manager and, subsequently, Vice President and Station Manager, of WBZ-TV in Boston. 

Mr. Vinciquerra spent much of his early media career at The Hearst Corporation, both at Hearst’s Times Union newspaper in Albany, NY, and at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh.

A past Chairman of the National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) and past governor of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Mr. Vinciquerra is also a member of the Board of Directors for Motorola, Inc, one of the world’s leading communications companies.

Mr. Vinciquerra serves as a member of the Board of Directors for the National Cable Television Association (NCTA), The Ad Council, and the Paley Center for Media.  He was inducted into the prestigious Broadcasting and Cable Hall Of Fame in October 2009.

Mr. Vinciquerra is active in many charitable endeavors and serves as a Director (and former Chairman) of the Entertainment Industries Council, which utilizes the major media to raise awareness and understanding of key social issues.  He is also a director of the Boston-based Genesis Fund, the fund-raising organization of the National Birth Defects Institute.  Mr. Vinciquerra was recognized by the Saban Free Clinic (formerly the Los Angeles Free Clinic) with their Leadership Award in November 2009 and by UCLA’s Anderson School of Management with their Executive Leadership Award in December 2009.

A native of Albany, NY, Mr. Vinciquerra graduated from the State University of New York at Albany.
