Malaria No More is seeking a Senior Program Associate to join its Global Policy and Advocacy team. The role involves supporting the Managing Director and Director of Global Policy and Advocacy in the implementation of advocacy strategies for donor resource mobilization in key markets (Asia, Europe, and the Middle East). The Senior Associate will develop workplans, track progress, coordinate donor reporting, contracts, and invoices, and develop briefing materials for stakeholders for internal and external audiences. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment supporting malaria prioritization and financing in key markets, working at the nexus of climate and health, nurturing existing relationships, developing new partnerships, and ensuring collaboration with global partners. Duties and Responsibilities
- Support the Managing Director and Director of Global Policy and Advocacy in implementing advocacy strategies and initiatives in priority regions, namely Asia, Middle East, and Europe.
- Monitor and synthesize policy and political developments related to malaria, climate, and health, providing concise information for informed advocacy.
- Coordinate contracts, subgrants, and invoices with Operations teams to ensure effective management.
- Produce reports and updates, collaborating with stakeholders to track progress and compose comprehensive internal documents.
- Conduct research on global health strategies, Official Development Assistance (ODA), and climate-health strategies for priority markets. Provide data analysis, mapping, briefing notes, and talking points as needed.
- Develop and maintain policy and progress trackers, ensuring timely follow-up on next steps.
- Support the Managing Director and Director in managing relationships with external partner agencies and donors.
- Draft and oversee production of programmatic materials, including reports, presentations, and policy briefs, ensuring accuracy and high quality.
- Support the development of electronic repositories for research, reports, and country- and policy-specific materials.
- Perform additional duties as requested by the Managing Director and Director of Global Policy and Advocacy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
- 1-2 years of professional experience in nonprofit, government, or international development sectors preferred.
- Understanding of policy development and advocacy strategies in public health or global development.
- Knowledge of malaria or infectious diseases is a plus.
- Proficient in policy research, data analysis, and synthesizing complex information into concise reports and recommendations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in briefing materials and presentations.
- Strong collaboration skills, ability to work in cross-functional teams and across organizational levels.
- Flexible and adaptable to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrated interest in global health, climate change, and/or health security desired.
