At Malaria No More, we envision a world where no child dies from a mosquito bite. We use our innovative partnerships and focused advocacy to elevate malaria on the global health agenda, create political will and mobilize the global resources required to achieve malaria eradication within a generation.
World Malaria Day (April 25) was a whirlwind of activity! Malaria No More and our partners around the world were hard at work getting the word out about just how serious we are about ending deaths from this disease once and for all.
I am from a country where the average life expectance is 48 years, an age we in the States consider a comfortable middle age. So years ago when I left Chad for the U.S., it was to pursue my studies in Public Health. And in March 2012, I accepted the position of Chad Country Manager with Malaria No More. In addition to finally bringing me home, this career is allowing me, a survivor of malaria myself, to follow my life-long dream of playing an important role in the malaria fight.
