About Our Work in Zambia

In August 2007, Malaria No More distributed 53,000 mosquito nets in Zambia, joining the Global Business Coalition on HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (GBC), the US Agency for International Development (USAID), and RAPIDS (Reaching HIV/AIDS Affected People with Integrated Development and Support) for the distribution of 500,000 bed nets in high risk regions of Zambia. Locally-based health workers distributed two to three bed nets to each household served, reaching more than 1 million people. This partnership addresses critical linkages between malaria and HIV/AIDS in Zambia, where prevalence for both diseases are among the highest in the world.
