Associate, Health Finance Coalition

Position Overview

The rapidly expanding Health Finance Coalition is seeking to hire an Associate to join our team. The Associate will support transaction construction, global financing platforms, and strategic exploration of new opportunities. A successful candidate enjoys working in a dynamic, fast paced environment; is an entrepreneurial self-starter; and is comfortable bringing structure to ambiguous problems. Strong verbal and written communication skills will allow you to interact with our team across multiple countries and time zones. Your flexibility and can-do attitude will enable you to lend support where needed and your strong organizational and multi-tasking skills will allow you to contribute to multiple projects.  In such a small team, you will have an active voice and be a thought partner on a range of issues. HFC offers stretch opportunities to staff at all levels and looks to support you as you take risks and try new things. Using your strong foundation finance, you will quickly understand HFC’s various projects and your strength in developing presentations, problem solving, modelling, and synthesis of information will enable you to contribute quickly. The relatively flat nature of HFC’s team and the variety and number of projects offer a high performer the opportunity to quickly assume more responsibility and gain exposure to our partners. You will report to Managing Director, Health Finance Coalition but may have different project reporting lines.

About Malaria No More

Malaria No More (MNM) envisions a world where no one dies of a mosquito bite. More than a decade into our mission, our work has contributed to historic progress toward this goal. Now, we’re mobilizing the political commitment, funding, and innovation required to achieve what would be one of the greatest humanitarian accomplishments—ending malaria within our generation. MNM is a global organization with offices in Seattle, Washington, D.C., New York, Nairobi, and India and affiliates in London and Tokyo.

About the Health Finance Coalition

Health Finance Coalition (HFC) was launched by a group of leading philanthropies, investors, donors, technical partners convened by WHO Ambassador for Global Strategy and Health Financing Ray Chambers and hosted by Malaria No More. HFC seeks to attract an unprecedented level of private-sector investments to impact millions of lives and accelerate progress to ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all, a UN Sustainable Development Goal 3. To achieve these goals, HFC believes that we must position private, return-seeking capital to co-invest alongside governments and donors to scale transformative health innovations that serve the most vulnerable. HFC Steering Group members include: The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; U.S. Agency for International Development; The Rockefeller Foundation; The World Bank; The World Health Organization; Royal Philips; and The Skoll Foundation.

Compensation

MNM-Kenya offers a competitive compensation package based upon previous experience. This is a full-time role.
