Position Overview

Malaria No More (MNM) seeks a consultant to identify and document U.S.-based innovators developing tools to control and eliminate malaria. This includes companies, universities, research institutions, government agencies, NGOs, and individuals working in areas such as vector control, diagnostics, prevention, treatment, surveillance, genetic modification, data, and informatics.

The work will expand an interactive map developed by MNM and Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV), which currently includes 46 MMV partners. The goal is to identify additional malaria innovators across the United States and document their work and relationships with malaria-endemic countries.

Deliverables


Ideal Candidate

Background in global health, science writing, or research. The consultant should be comfortable conducting independent research, contacting scientists and companies, following up with prospective participants, and explaining technical work to a general audience. Malaria experience and existing contacts in the field are a plus.


Timing and Fee

The consultancy is expected to begin around September 1, 2026 and conclude by October 1, 2026. Applicants should provide a proposed hourly or daily rate or flat fee.
