Analyst, Health Finance Coalition

The Health Finance Coalition is seeking to hire an Analyst who will play a significant role providing program, administrative, and operational support for the HFC team. We are a global, dynamic team of healthcare and investment professionals that seek to further innovative and impactful solutions to global and community health challenges by supporting companies to attract capital. In this role, you will be at the forefront of impact investment for the healthcare sector in Africa, South and Southeast Asia, and Latin America – supporting the HFC team as we develop innovative and blended financing solutions to crowd-in new investment for high impact healthcare companies and public sector programs.

Reports to: Sr. Manager, Health Finance Coalition

Travel requirement: 1-2 International trips per year

Position Responsibilities

  • Work effectively with diverse, multinational teams to develop thoughtful, actionable solutions to complex program implementation and financing challenges.
  • Develop research materials and client deliverables, including donor reports, briefs, and presentations/slide decks, to support project activities.
  • Facilitate the creation, organization, and maintenance of knowledge management systems, databases, and repositories.
  • Coordinate with project team members, including liaising with external partners, to ensure project activities are on track and deliverables are met.
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of contracts for grants, subcontractors/consultants, and other documents.
  • Conduct research as needed on potential target markets, including analyzing market trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitive analyses.
  • Synthesize clear takeaways from complex information into actionable recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Perform additional duties as requested by the Managing Director and Deputy Director of the Health Finance Coalition.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as economics, international relations, political science, or global health studies.
  • 1-2 years of experience in research, analysis, or project coordination, preferably in a global health or environmental context.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Excellent research, analysis, and writing skills.
  • A team-oriented, “low-ego” individual who works collaboratively in a high-performance environment.
  • Experience in working effectively with multicultural and remote teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Fluency in a second language, particularly Portuguese, French, or Spanish is a plus.

The Health Finance Coalition (HFC) was launched by a group of leading philanthropies, investors, donors, technical partners convened by WHO Ambassador for Global Strategy and Health Financing Ray Chambers and hosted by Malaria No More. The HFC seeks to mobilize an unprecedented level of private-sector investment to achieve public health goals in line with UN Sustainable Development Goal 3. To do so, HFC designs, structures, resources, and launches various blended finance opportunities to attract private capital to advance public health goals.
